CLUB HISTORY

It is easy for people involved with Hutt Old Boys Marist Rugby Football Club today to view it as a club with relatively recent beginnings. This is far from the case and we actually have a history that can be traced back as far as 1892 when the Epuni Club reformed after a short-lived amalgamation with Petone RFC. Epuni went on to amalgamate with the Kia Ora Club in 1909 to form the Hutt Football Club.  The Centenary Booklet published to coincide with our Centenary celebrations in June 2010 chronicles the first 100 years...
